in 1912, the Essanay Film Manufacturing Company established a film studio in Fremont’s Niles Canyon and filmed Charlie Chaplin’s The Tramp there, among other early classics. But then everything moved down to Southern California.

One hundred years later, the digital pendulum has swung back to Silicon Valley and studios are opening here again. Former "Good Morning America" producer and Walt Disney exec Bradley Lautenbach heads up operations for Zuckerberg Media, a next-generation media company in the heart of Silicon Valley. The company opened its new 12,000 s.f. production studio earlier this year and is developing original productions for clients such as Cirque du Soleil, BeachMint, the UN Foundation and Conde Nast. 
 
Bradley will talk about the Hollywood-Silicon Valley convergence and new media content production in what is sure to be a thought-provoking session led by Transmedia Producer Maya Zuckerman.
